grimm-season-3-finale-adalind-claire-coffee-nbc.JPGAdalind is out for vengeance in the “Grimm” Season 3 finale, “Blonde Ambition.” She is doing everything she can to get her baby back, and she’s going to be destroying lives in the process.

“She’s incredibly motivated to get her baby back. She’s got tunnel vision where that is concerned, because she feels a little bit aimless and lost without this child,” Claire Coffee tells reporters about her character. “I don’t think she fully understands the ramifications of what she’s about to do, but she feels within her rights to do that. It causes a massive rift in Nick and Juliette’s relationship, and it changes they maybe forever.”

Adds Sasha Roiz, who plays Captain Renard, “I think Adalind has gone too far this time.”

She’ll do something to hurt Renard too, it seems. “By the end of the episode, Renard sees pure rage. It could get pretty nasty between the two of them,” Roiz says. “You find him at his wits’ end with her.”

In the finale, Adalind is unaware of the Resistance plot — orchestrated by Nick, Renard, Monroe and Hank — to take away her baby. She thinks that Viktor has her daughter, and she transformed into Juliette as a way to steal Nick’s powers and make good on her vow to Viktor. She likely won’t be too happy to find out Viktor actually doesn’t have her child, and will be even more livid when she finds out Renard’s involvement.

“If this is what she’s up to and she doesn’t even know that little tidbit, can you imagine what she’s capable of,” Roiz says.

Of where Adalind and Renard’s relationship stands now, Coffee says, “They really do have a sickeningly co-dependent relationship. I don’t know that there’s forgiveness or ultimate trust. But it does seem like the playing field is a little bit leveled with what they’ve done to each other.”

It seems Adalind will be the main catalyst in the season finale, which is appropriately titled “Blonde Ambition.” “She’s a more dangerous villain now because she’s operating of her own accord and she has this powerful motivation now,” Coffee teases. “She knows one way of getting what she wants, and that’s death and destruction via magic spells.”

Of the response she expects from the audience, Coffee says with a laugh, “I just hope nobody knows where I live.”

“Grimm’s” Season 3 finale airs Friday (May 16) at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
