Funnywoman Jennifer Coolidge, star of “2 Broke Girls,” stopped by “The Talk” on Friday (Nov. 8), where she shared a funny anecdote about way back in the day, before her big break as a masseuse on “Seinfeld” in 1993, when she worked at a restaurant — with Sandra Bullock.
“She was having a much better hostess career than I was. She was actually the hostess and I was the cocktail waitress. She ended up getting my shifts because I had such bad attendance,” laughs Coolidge. “Sandra was incredibly popular, she would’ve won Miss Congeniality at the restaurant. Everybody loved her.”
Coolidge also regales the “Talk” ladies with a story about the how she eventually quit her job — at a restaurant she does not name that starts with a “K” and is located at the corner of Doheny and Wilshire in Los Angeles.
“I was riding my bike to work and I got hit by a car. And I was lying on the ground going, ‘Thank god.'” says Coolidge. “I have a hard time ending my relationships with jobs and people. It was such a great way out. I said to the ambulance guy, ‘You gotta call the restaurant for me and tell them I just won’t ever be in again.'”
“2 Broke Girls” airs Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
