agents of shield marvel chloe bennet elizabeth henstridge gi 'Agents of SHIELD': Bill Paxton, Jaimie Alexander and Stan Lee appearance teases from cast

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” has some big guest stars on tap for the rest of Season 1. Both episode 13 and episode 15 have been announced to have familiar Marvel  faces appear in them, while a very recognizable actor will have a multi-episode arc as an agent who used to work with Clark Gregg‘s Agent Coulson later in the season.

While at the ABC TCA 2014 winter press tour party, Zap2it spoke with leading ladies Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet about the upcoming appearances. With Stan Lee slated for Feb. 4’s “TRACKS,” “Thor: The Dark World’s” Jaimie Alexander arriving from Asgard in episode 15 and Bill Paxton soon coming into the fray as Agent John Garrett, there’s a lot to be looking forward to.

“Bill is the best person ever. We’re a really tight-knit group of people, so it might be intimidating for other guest stars to come on,” Bennett gushes about Paxton. “Bill fits right in. He’s incredible. He’s so funny; I love him and I really like his character. … He is awesome. Everyone’s going to love his character.”

A recent teaser of “TRACKS” reveals Lee’s character, and it was previously revealed that he’ll have more than just a cameo in the episode. Though he usually just has a small part when he shows up in MCU movies, the Marvel legend will have a full-fledged character in “Agents of SHIELD.”

Henstridge got to work with him on set and describes the experience as being “very out of body.” “He was so lovely, very gentlemanly. So much energy! I mean, filming on a train is not an easy thing to do. It’s very rickety. He’s amazing. You meet him and you think he’s 45, and he isn’t. He’s such a legend; I still can’t quite believe it happened,” she says. “I hope he comes back.”

As for Alexander, this appearance comes after “Agents of SHIELD” had its big “Thor: The Dark World” crossover episode. The fact that she’ll be appearing shows that the series isn’t going to stop making it’s MCU connections just because one of the Marvel movies has come and gone theaters.

“It probably might feel even more like [a crossover] because of why [Lady Sif] comes to Earth,” Bennet says. “You’ll have to wait and see. I get nervous. [Marvel] probably put a bug on me.”

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
