In some ways, it feels like the fall TV season just began, but we’re already gearing up for some mid-season premieres that will blow many of the fall shows right out of the water. Leading the pack is J.J. Abrams’ “Alcatraz,” and baseball fans were treated to a new promo during the World Series game on Wednesday night.
The show reunites “Lost” writer Elizabeth Sarnoff with star Jorge Garcia, who plays Diego Soto, a genius expert on the famed Alcatraz prison. When Detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) happens upon a case with seemingly impossible evidence, they team up and learn that when Alcatraz prison shut its doors in 1963, the prisoners and guards weren’t transferred elsewhere. They disappeared.
There’s no official premiere date yet, but FOX teases that the fun begins in January. We’d highly recommend adding this one to your to-watch list — it was one of our favorite pilots this season. Check out the new promo below.
