“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” panel at Comic-Con 2013 isn’t until Friday, July 19, but the movie has previewed some teaser footage of Jamie Foxx as Electro.

“I can feel it in the walls. I feel it in my veins. No matter what you do, doc, you can’t contain it. You want to know how powerful I am? Well, I want to know too. I’m Electro,” says Foxx in a voiceover.

We have to say — in the clip, he looks a little Viggo the Carpathian, huh?

The panel for the superhero sequel will include Foxx, actor Andrew Garfield, actor Dane DeHann and director Marc Webb. Foxx plays a new villain for Spider-Man to fight — Electro, the alter ego of Max Dillon, who was struck by lighting while fixing some power lines, hence the moniker and electric powers. Meanwhile, DeHann is playing Harry Osborn, Peter Parker’s old friend who was played by James Franco in the Tobey Maguire “Spider-Man.”

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” is due out May 2, 2014.
