Janelle Arthur – Keep Me Hanging On – American… by IdolxMuzic
Janelle Arthur just announced her “American Idol” presence with authority. She balled up her fist, reached way back and asserted herself on “Keep Me Hangin’ On” by Diana Ross.

The girl took a total 60s-girl-group song and arranged in a way that made the lyrics utterly heartbreaking. It sounded like a completely different song — it sounded like a country hit Janelle could release tomorrow. Girlfriend is in it.

The judges were similarly excited. Mariah says it was “Janelle at her finest,” while Keith calls it “beautiful.” Randy sums it up best with, “I absolutely loved it, I thought it was incredible. What I loved the most … we have all of these other girls who are coming on and doing their thing, but watch out for Janelle, y’all. She’s in it to win it.”

Definitely. Incredible. We can’t wait to download it. What did you think, “Idol” fans?
