For ’80s week on “American Idol,” Joshua Ledet chose “If You Don’t Know Me By Now,” done in the 1980s by both Patti LaBelle and Simply Red. Backed by a choir (and lots of sexy red candles), Joshua pretty much blew it out da box.

We loved how restrained he was in the beginning. We would actually really like to hear him do that for a whole song just one time. But of this performance, Steven Tyler says, “How can someone sing like that at your age? What a perfect, beautiful song … it wasn’t too much over the top” and Randy adds, “It’s very rare on this show that I want to stand up beginning to end. That’s how good that performance was. You’re so mature.”

Absolutely. What do you think, “Idol” fans? Will Joshua be getting your votes?
