the contestants get judges’ choices, personal choices and Jimmy Iovine’s choices. But who are you favorites from the Top 3 phase of year’s past? Vote below.

As of this writing, you’ve voted Carrie Underwood‘s “Alone” as the best Top 11 performance, David Cook‘s “Billie Jean” as the best Top 10 performance and David Archuleta‘s “Smoky Mountain Memories” as the best Top 9 performance, Adam Lambert‘s “Mad World” as the best Top 8 performance, Archie‘s “When You Believe” as the best Top 7 performance, Clay Aiken‘s “I Could Not Ask for More” as the best Top 6 performance, Carrie‘s “God Bless the Broken Road” as the best Top 5 performance and Glambert‘s “Whole Lotta Love” as the best Top 4 performance.

There are some darn good Top 3 performances. We had forgotten Diana DeGarmo’s “Don’t Cry Out Loud” and Carrie Underwood’s underrated “Crying.” Plus, Katharine McPhee debuted her stunning “Over the Rainbow” at Top 3 and Kris Allen finally showed that he could beat Adam Lambert with “Heartless.”
