dick clark gi American Music Awards 2012: Stevie Wonder does Dick Clark justice

A longtime production of Dick Clark, it would only make sense that the “American Music Awards” pay tribute to the legendary broadcaster and music fan in the show’s 40th year.
Clark passed away April 18, 2012 and Stevie Wonder — just one of the artists who got their big break from Dick’s show, “American Bandstand” — honored Mr. Clark with a medley, bringing the AMAs 2012 crowd to their feet to clap along.
Justin Bieber and Heidi Klum were among the super stars swaying to the beat as Stevie played “Sir Duke,” singing the lyrics, “you can feel it all over,” while images of Clark with legendary musicians throughout the decades were projected overhead.
More personal images from Dick’s life flashed across the screen as Stevie played “My Cherie Amour,” while Clark’s widow Kari Wigton looked on.

Ryan Seacrest, who has taken over Clark’s “New Years Rockin’ Eve” mantle introduced the performance.
