History was made on “American Ninja Warrior” when gymnast Kacy Catanzaro dominated the obstacle course, becoming the first woman ever to complete it and advance to the finals in Las Vegas, Nav. With a total time of just under nine minutes, Catanzaro finished a course that included the ring toss, spider walk, the salmon ladder and many more tough tasks.
At only five feet tall, many of the obstacles could have proven even more difficult, but Catanzaro refused to be stopped and looked at home on the course. Now Catanzaro, who competed in gymnastics at Towson University, moves on to the finals and the ultimate obstacle, Mt. Midoriyama.
“American Ninja Warrior” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/Pt on NBC.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
