amy winehouse beyonce back to black gi Amy Winehouse's dad says Beyonce 'doesn't bring anything' to 'Back to Black' cover

Not everyone is excited for Beyonce’s cover of an Amy Winehouse song in the upcoming film “The Great Gatsby.” Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, says he wasn’t consulted about the cover before it was recorded.
Mitch says he wasn’t asked for permission to use a cover of the song “Back to Black” in “The Great Gatsby,” but has agreed to it after the fact. “They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing,” he tells the Daily Mail, “I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.”
Mitch also doesn’t sound like a fan of the cover, saying, “I don’t think she [Beyonce] brings anything to it.” A snippet of the song can be heard in the most recent trailer for the movie. The film’s score is being written by Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z.
Mitch is currently working on his own project, a follow-up to a compilation album featuring unreleased songs and demos from the late Winehouse. The new album will feature early vocal work from the “Rehab” singer, with the profits going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which helps children with addiction problems.
