Now that he’s left politics, Arnold Schwarzenegger is going back to his previous career as an action star. But it won’t be in the way you’re used to seeing him.
Up above you can see the trailer for “The Governator,” an animated series that Schwarzenegger and comics legend Stan Lee are developing. It’s targeted for a 2012 premiere, although it doesn’t yet have an on-air or online home.
“The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger,” Lee tells EW. “We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. … After he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.”
The character, voiced by Schwarzenegger, will have a support team that includes a 13-year-old security genius, and he’ll fight an evil organization called — wait for it — the G.I.R.L.I.E. Men.
What do you think of the trailer (which includes a voice cameo by Larry King)? Does “The Governator” look like something you’d watch?
