andi dorfman the bachelorette abc 1 'The Bachelorette's' Andi Dorfman: 'No control and no routine'

Zap2it: As “The Bachelorette,” what is it like for you to again be in the process that you sampled from the other side on “The Bachelor”?
Andi Dorfman: Obviously, I got a little taste of it last season, so I knew what I was coming into … but sometimes you can’t help but just throw your hands up and laugh about it. You would drive yourself crazy otherwise. There is definitely no control and no routine.
Zap2it: Some viewers saw you as a symbol for walking out on Juan Pablo Galavis on “The Bachelor.” Did you feel that way about it?
Andi Dorfman: I don’t know if it was necessarily symbolic. All I can say is that I said what I felt at that given time. Were there moments when I cringed, watching it back? Absolutely. Were there things I wish I had been nicer or more stern about? Absolutely.

Watching it back and seeing it unfold, though, that was how I felt. That was where I was at mentally in my relationship with him, and I think everybody has their opinion. For every one that’s bad, there’s a couple that are good, and vice versa.

Zap2it: What have you taken from that and applied to being “The Bachelorette”?
Andi Dorfman: All I can guarantee is to be authentic, to feel what I’m feeling, and to try to express that as much as possible. There are definitely good moments and bad moments, but I’m me … and I feel that if there’s anything at all that I can take away from this, it’s that I was true to myself. And I’m seeing myself throughout all of this.
“The Bachelorette” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
