BBC tasked the “Sherlock” actor with a reading some radio scripts from June 6, 1944, and unsurprisingly he did it amazingly well.

This recording is part of BBC’s endeavors to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Allied forces landing in Normandy. It aired on BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program. Also participating are Toby Jones and Patrick Stewart.
