Beyonce proved she truly is a queen when she surprised fans by dropping a 14-track iTunes-exclusive album along with 17 new music videos.
The album includes guest appearances by her husband Jay Z, Frank Ocean and Drake, as well as her daughter Blue Ivy. In the gorgeous video for the self-titled album’s closing track, “Blue,” Queen Bey serenades her daughter while hanging out in Brazil.
Calling the project a “visual album,” Beyonce also shot videos in New York, Paris, Sydney and Houston, Texas. Some of the songs were co-written by Justin Timberlake, Sia, Pharrell, Miguel, Timbaland and Ryan Tedder.
The explicit and clean versions of “Beyonce” currently rank at No. 1 and No. 2 on the iTunes albums charts. She is expected to get a No. 1 debut on Billboard next week. “Beyonce” will hit stores “in time for the holidays,” a representative tells NPR.
