One of our favorite new hamsters during the “Big Brother 15” press junket was definitely Kaitlin Barnaby, a sweet 23-year-old from Minnesota. She was a recruit — definitely did not know anything about “Big Brother” prior to being cast — but let’s hope she quickly figures out the game.
“I think when I get in there, I’m going to feel it out, I’m going to lay low. I am probably going to observe people, possibly make them more comfortable with me, make them trust me a little bit more. Ask them questions and be more interested in them,” Kaitlin tells Zap2it.
As far as alliances go, Kaitlin says she’s definitely looking at the guys more than the girls.
“I’m probably going to align with some guys, versus girls, because I get along with them a little bit better. Probably be a little more manipulative, too, towards the men,” she laughs. “I just feel like I’m going to align more with the guys. Girls get very
judgmental and intimidated by me, just by looking at me more or less.
I’m actually really fun and nice and polite, so.”
When we asked her what she thinks about Julie Chen teasing a “no-floater summer,” Kaitlin actually got a little nervous.
“I feel like I would definitely be a floater, at least at first. I can’t see myself getting aggressive until the end. That kind of scares me,” she laughs. And she definitely is not gunning for the first HOH.
“I feel like that puts a big target on your back. I feel like when you’re the HOH, everybody just hates you. I feel like it would give me such bad anxiety right off the bat. I want everybody to like me, I want to make emotional connections with people. I think during Head of Household, they’ve got their eye on you,” she says.
“Big Brother 15” premieres Wednesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Don’t forget to sign up for the live feeds to keep track of all the action all summer long.
