bill cosby nbc sitcom gi Bill Cosby leads new NBC family comedy, his first sitcom since 2000

“The Cosby Show” has been off the air for more than 20 years, but Bill Cosby is ready for his return to NBC. The comedian, now 76 years old, has signed with the network to develop a half-hour comedy, which he will star in.
According to Deadline, Cosby is working on the project with producer Tom Werner. The two previously worked together on “The Cosby Show,” as well as CBS’ “Cosby,” which ran four seasons.
The new sitcom will show Cosby as the head of a multi-generational family, imparting his views on marriage and parenting along the way. Werner and Cosby are currently searching for writers to work on the project.
Cosby made his return to TV in November with a Comedy Central stand-up special, his first in 30 years.
