Fans of “Body of Proof” will have to wait a couple weeks longer for the show to make its return to ABC.
The crime drama starring Dana Delany — which underwent extensive retooling after last season — had been scheduled to begin its third season on Feb. 5. The network has now moved the premiere date back to weeks to Tuesday, Feb. 19.
The change comes as a result of the scheduling of the State of the Union address. The president’s annual address to Congress is set for Feb. 12, so rather than have to pre-empt “Body of Proof” a week after it premieres, ABC decided to hold the show back.
ABC hasn’t scheduled anything to replace the “Body of Proof” premiere on Feb. 5 yet. A repeat of last season’s finale is set for Jan. 29.
