david duchovny californication 320 'Californication,' 'Shameless' hit Showtime in JanuaryShowtime will give viewers something to warm up to during the cold winter months: Hank Moody.

“Californication” will begin its fourth season in January, the cable channel announced Monday (July 12). The show will be joined by two new series, the British drama adaptation “Shameless” and a comedy starring Matt LeBlanc called “Episodes.”
“Shameless,” which stars William H. Macy as the alcoholic patriarch of a working-class Chicago family, will debut at 10 p.m. ET Jan. 9. It’s based on a long-running British series of the same name; its creator, Paul Abbott, is an executive producer of the new show along with John Wells (“ER,” “Southland”). Emmy Rossum also stars.
“Californication” and “Episodes” will both premiere Jan. 10. The former’s new season will feature Rob Lowe as a Brad Pitt-esque actor who wants to option Hank’s (David Duchovny) book for a movie.
“Episodes” stars LeBlanc (“Friends”) as a version of himself, the guy who’s hired to play the lead when a British writing team brings their show to the United States and the network wants to dumb it down.
