Activision sure knows how to market to its core audience. The latest commercial for “Call of Duty: Ghosts” is directed by “The Wolverine’s” James Mangold and features Megan Fox as a female soldier that four players are lucky to come across.
The “Call of Duty” franchise is well-known for its epic live action commercials, and this one that aired during “Saturday Night Live” is no exception. Seriously, if the game is half as fun as this video looks, then gamers are in for a treat.
Fox has often shared her love of video games, in particular “Halo: Reach.” She’s shared in the past that she’s gotten some heat from fellow players online.
“I have ‘Halo: Reach,’ but I am playing online. I don’t really play in story mode anymore,” she told Collider in 2011. “[Xbox Live players] have no idea. They make fun of my gamer tag too because it is funny. And they are all a bunch of guys and it is clear that I am a girl so they make fun of my name, and they have no idea they are making fun of me,” she added.
“Call of Duty: Ghosts” will hit store shelves for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 on Nov. 5, 2013. It will launch on Xbox One on Nov. 15 and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 22.
