megan fox low cut 2 Can Judd Apatow save Megan Fox's career?Judd Apatow is apparently ready to trade one trash-talking actress for another. Megan Fox is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Apatow’s comedy that has Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their roles from “Knocked Up.”

Katherine Heigl, who was quietly putting in time on “Grey’s Anatomy” before she landed the starring role in “Knocked Up,” angered Apatow and co-star Seth Rogen in 2007 when she told Vanity Fair that “Knocked Up” “paints women as shrews” and makes men look “loveable.”

Apatow did give Heigl the benefit of the doubt, saying at the time that she “probably was doing six hours of interviews and kissing everyone’s a**, and then just got tired and slipped a little bit.”

Maybe that’s why he’s not shying away from hiring Fox, who is rumored to have been dumped from “Transformers 3” after she criticized director Michael Bay and the franchise in an EW interview:

“I mean, I can’t s– on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s a**. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting. And once you realize that, it becomes almost fun because you can be in the moment and go, ‘All right, I know that when he calls Action! I’m either going to be running or screaming, or both.'”

Since being dropped from “Transformers 3,” Fox has married longtime boyfriend Brian Austin Green. she’s also worked, starring in the critically-panned “Jennifer’s Body” opposite Amanda Seyfried in 2009.

According to Variety, the new Apatow project will not be a sequel or spin-off of “Knocked Up,” despite the whole character overlap thing.
