carnie wilson bells palsy disorder gi Carnie Wilson reveals Bell's Palsy disorder diagnosis on Twitter

Carnie Wilson shared some very interesting news on Twitter. On March 14, the Wilson Phillips singer revealed to her followers that she suffered a Bell’s Palsy attack, leaving the left side of her face temporarily paralyzed. After posting messages alluding to facing difficulties, Wilson tweeted “Just wanted you all 2 know that I have Bell’s Palsy on lf side of face right now. Scary, unfortunate, but it goes away. A challenge! Love u.”
She followed with another tweet, mentioning a treatment she is using to help with it. “Ps Who believes in Acupuncture? I’m treating my Bell’s Palsy with it. IT’S WORKING,” she writes. Bell’s Palsy is a disorder in the facial nerve, typically leaving the muscles on one side of the face unable to be controlled, though in very rare cases it can cause total facial paralysis. While the symptoms are usually temporary, the attacks can happen more than once.
Wilson has been very open about her medical history in the past. In early 2012, she made talk show appearances, discussing a lap-band surgery she had done, in an effort to lose weight.
