Now his health has taken a turn for the worse and his family has gathered at his bedside.

A spokesman for St. Anthony Hospital in Washington state tells CNN that while Kasem is “alert and appears comfortable,” he is still in critical condition. Kasem was admitted to the hospital Sunday (June 1) after a bizarre fight between his wife Jean Kasem and his daughter Kerri, who is from Kasem’s first marriage and is pictured above with Kasem and brother Mike.

Danny Deraney, a representative for Kerri, tells CNN that family members, including Kasem’s brother, are flying to Washington to see him. When asked if Kasem might be dying, the rep says that it could be Kasem’s last moments or he could get better, right now they do not know for sure.

Deraney’s Twitter account says that Kasem is in “stable condition,” but CNN says a patient who is in poor health but not getting worse can be listed as both stable and critical.
