“Good Morning America” viewers were in luck when they tuned in on Nov. 13, because the ABC morning show debuted an epic new look at “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
While trailers have largely focused on Katniss’ journey, this clip that premiered shows her interacting with some of “Catching Fire’s” new characters. In this case, she sits with Jeffrey Wright‘s Beetee and Amanda Plummer‘s Wiress as they watch Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s Plutarch Heavensbee at work.
Beetee teaches Katniss how to spot a forcefield, which as fans know will come in very useful later in the story. As he tells her, “There’s always a flaw in the system.”
Wright was on “GMA” to promote the flick, and he opened up about the experience of attending a “Hunger Games” world premiere. He says it was “moving” because of the serious way the franchise’s fans treat the series.
“They have a sense of ownership of them, and for them to interact with us and us to interact with them, it was really very touching,” he says. “It’s not fluff to them.”
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is due in theaters on Nov. 22.
