There’s a controversy coming to us from across the pond surrounding “Celebrity Big Brother” in the U.K.
During last weekend’s “Bit on the Side” portion of the show, viewers spotted a crew member inside the “Celebrity Big Brother” house seemingly holding cue cards for the contestants, reports the Daily Mail. Oops.
A spokesman for the show tells the Mail, “Sometimes members of the task team enter the ‘Big Brother’ house but they do not communicate with housemates.”
This would never happen to “Big Brother” over here, right? What we’ve always understood about “Big Brother” (and CBS assures us is correct) is that the only time someone from production interacts face-to-face with the contestants is in the case of a medical, safety or personal emergency. During challenges or in the Diary Room, communication is made via loudspeakers.
Production does have to enter the house or the backyard at times throughout the summer, but when they do, the house guests are locked in another location so as not to even see the production crew.
What do you think, “Big Brother” fans? Is “Celebrity Big Brother” trying to pull a fast one?
