Former Batman Christian Bale is making the press rounds in support of his new movie “Out of the Furnace,” but it’s only natural that questions about his last franchise come up.
As has been the trend in recent days with guys who have played the caped crusader, Bale is answering lots of questions about Batkid, which he thinks is truly amazing. However Christian also has some thoughts about Ben Affleck taking over the role of Batman in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” sequel, which he shared with “Access Hollywood.”
“I wish him all the best,” Christian says. “He’s a very experienced actor and filmmaker and he’ll make it all his own.” Bale notes that his run at the Bat is truly finished and it was time for the cape and cowl to be passed onto the next actor lucky enough to play it, adding, “And it will be again, after him.”
He does have a bit of advice for Affleck, though. “The only thing I said to him was to make sure he could take a p*** without anyone having to help him, because it’s a little bit humiliating,” he says. Powerful advice, from Batman to Batman.
