Christina Aguilera has joined the roster of performers at the American Music Awards on Nov. 21. She’ll be performing a song from her new movie “Burlesque.” [“Access Hollywood”]

NBC has set a premiere date for the second run of “The Sing-Off.” The a cappella competition hosted by Nick Lachey will debut on Dec. 6 and air Mondays and Wednesdays through Dec. 20. [NBC]

Comedian Patton Oswalt is developing a comedy project at FOX. Oswalt, who currently recurs on “United States of Tara,” would play a recently divorced guy who’s re-entering the single life; he’s also co-writing it with Scott Aukerman (“Mr. Show”). [Vulture]

Eric McCormack could be headed back to TNT. He’s in negotiations to star in “Perception,” about an eccentric neuroscientist who consults with the FBI. McCormack starred in the network’s short-lived “Trust Me” a couple seasons back. [Deadline]

Jason Lee will reunite with “My Name Is Earl” creator Greg Garcia later this season when he guests on an episode of Garcia’s new show “Raising Hope.” Lee will play a washed-up rock star who’s been reduced to playing a gig at the grocery where Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) works. [FOX]

“Too Big to Fail,” HBO’s Curtis Hanson-directed movie about the financial meltdown of 2008, has added two more well-known actors to its cast. Bill Pullman will play JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, and Matthew Modine will play former Merrill Lynch chief John Thain. [Deadline]
