There’s a good reason Taylor Swift didn’t show up at the 2014 CMT Music Awards: She’s being shut out for “Red.” Miranda Lambert took home the Belt Buckle for Female Video of the Year for her single “Automatic,” which is her first win of the night.
Lambert’s win was presented by James Van Der Beek, who kissed her on the cheek as she walked up to the microphone. “Hey y’all. Thank you so much to the fans. I love this song so much. It’s close to my heart. I love the video,” Lambert says in her speech. “I really appreciate this, guys. I love country music. I love my job. Thank you to the fans for letting us do our job. I love it so much. God bless y’all.”
In addition to Swift, Lambert beat out Carrie Underwood, Cassadee Pope, Kacey Musgraves and Sheryl Crow. Lambert is also up for Video of the Year.
