At the time of “Glee” star Cory Monteith‘s death, his mother Ann McGregor had not tweeted in months. Now, just under three weeks after her son succumbed to a lethal cocktail of heroin and alcohol, McGregor is opening up on Twitter.
“I would like to thank all of Cory’s supporters at this extremely emotional time. Your support has been overwhelming … thank you,” McGregor writes.
She then adds, “The person releasing articles relating to my feelings and thoughts on how to take care of Cory’s ashes has never been in contact with me … I have never met or spoken to this person He does not represent me or my wishes.”
Monteith was found dead July 13 in a Vancouver hotel room when he failed to check out on time. His longtime girlfriend and co-star, Lea Michele, returned to the set of “Glee” Friday (Aug. 2) after tweeting that she was “spending the day surrounded by great friends.”
