“Nikita’s” Dillon Casey is getting another shot at life on The CW.
The actor, who played Navy SEAL Sean Pierce on the spy thriller series until he was killed tragically at the end of Season 3, stars in the CW-Seed-turned-CW-series “Backpackers,” which premiered Monday (July 14). Casey co-stars with Noah Reid in the comedy about two best friends Brandon (Casey) and Ryan (Reid) who are taking Europe by storm.
After Ryan and his fiance make a pact to spend their last remaining months before their wedding abroad with a free pass — the ability to get all their partying and hooking up with other people out of their system with no consequences to their relationship — Ryan realizes he’s made a huge mistake. He drags Brandon across France to the Amalfi Coast in search of his bride-to-be, hoping to call of their agreement before she seals the deal with a random dude. By the end of the premiere, Ryan and Brandon reach the coast, but his fiance is nowhere to be found.
Will the boys embrace their freedom and find themselves during their European vacation, or will Ryan’s search for his fiance hijack their trip? Will Brandon run into his dream girl again, or is she lost in the wind, forever remembered as the one who got away? Will you make a return trip to find out these answers when “Backpackers” airs on Mondays this summer?
