cw-fall-2014-premiere-dates.jpgThe CW will once again start the bulk of its shows a little later than the other broadcast networks in 2014, diving into new programming in early October. Also on tap for the beginning of the season is a “Supernatural” retrospective special and the annual “iHeartRadio Music Festival.”

Only two of the network’s five nights of programming, Tuesdays and Thursdays, will debut with a full lineup: “The Vampire Diaries” and “Reign” launch on Thursday, Oct. 2, and new superhero series “The Flash” and “Supernatural” will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 7. “The Originals” debuts Monday, Oct. 6, but its Monday-night companion “Jane the Virgin” doesn’t start until a week later.

Similarly, while “Arrow” kicks off its third season on Wednesday, Oct. 8, “The 100” won’t start until two weeks later, on Oct. 22. Encores of “The Flash” will fill the 9 p.m. Wednesday spot in the interim.
