Jennifer Hudson can sing. And that really stands out on a dance competition show.
The “Idol” contestant turned Oscar winner performed two songs from her new album “I Remember Me” on Tuesday’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
First, Hudson — totally kicking it in a fab purple mini dress and a pair of matching heels — belted out the up-tempo “Don’t Look Down” as Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel did their best to distract us. It didn’t work. J-Hud had us at hello.
Later in the show, she was back — still in the purple frock (points for no diva-esque costume change) — to sing “Feeling Good,” a retro-y big band number that slowed down the pace and has us ready to download “I Remember Me.”
