kurt warner eliminated 'Dancing With the Stars': Was Kurt Warner just too nice to compete?

Retired quarterback Kurt Warner made a not-so-surprising exit from “Dancing With the Stars” during the Week 8 results show, and no one seems cooler with the turn of events than Warner himself.

“I’m just glad it’s me, and not one of these other guys,” Kurt says of his four co-stars who beat him to the semifinals. “I don’t want anybody to go home. Everybody’s worked hard. The great thing for me is that I came on this show to have a great time and have a great experience. Winning wasn’t really even part of why I did this show. So it’s pretty easy for me to walk away.”

Diplomatic as he may be, Kurt was downtrodden during after his last performance, when he and partner Anna Trebunskaya once again failed to score anything higher than an 8.

“Gosh it was unfair,” Kurt says, laughing. “I think we all think it’s unfair when we get kicked off. We’ve felt for a long time that we should have gotten better scores than we did.”

Kurt’s scores may not have been the best, but they weren’t the worst either. That distinction is still reserved for Bristol Palin, who many suspected (and others hoped) would be sent packing before Warner.

But if he shares that opinion, you certainly could never tell. As Bruno Tonioli pointed out just before his departure, Kurt is a true gentleman.
