TNT has bid adieu to “Dark Blue.”
The cable network has canceled the cop drama after only two seasons, according to The Futon Critic. Its final episode aired on Sept. 15, and TNT has decided not to renew the series for a third season.
The series centers on a crack undercover team of LAPD officer led by Carter Shaw (Dylan McDermott). “Battlestar Galactica’s” Tricia Helfer joined on for the second season, which ran 10 episodes and averaged 2.25 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 adult demo.
The network’s other offerings like “The Closer” (7.18 million) and “Rizzoli & Isles” (6.92 million) consistently draw in more viewers. The second-lowest rated show is “Hawthorne,” which still draws 3.09 million and just hired a new showrunner.
