The Time Bandit was fortunate enough to finish up the season in good shape and headed into Dutch Harbor quite a bit earlier than the other ships. It’s a good thing they were there, since when the arctic hurricane rolled in, the Cornelia Marie needed the help of the Time Bandit’s crew to keep their vessel docked amidst the pounding winds and seas. It was an intense few minutes, lines snapping and the boat reeling, but the Cornelia Marie weathered the storm. The late Capt. Phil Harris would be proud.

Scott “Junior” Campbell of the Seabrooke, who has been battling debilitating back pain all season. He revealed early on in Season 10 that he gets “stabbing pains” shooting down his legs and up his back. It eventually made him so nauseous that he vomited over the side of the boat.

In the finale, it isn’t just physical pain that Junior is dealing with. The Seabrooke’s entire catch is in jeopardy due to a cracked circulation pipe. They get their crab off-loaded and the repairs made, but there is a lot of dead loss.

Over on the Cape Caution, Wild Bill Wichrowski has a nice father-son moment when his son Zack helps out in a major way in replacing a filter in the engine room. Luckily there was no explosion, which, as Wild Bill puts it, “would’ve blown the front off the boat.” Zack has really proven himself to Wild Bill, so Zack even gets a turn at the helm before season’s end.

One captain whose trials and tribulations seem to be wearing thin with viewers is Elliott Neese. One fan writes on Twitter, “I’m thinking The Saga should be re-named The Drama because we’ve heard more about Elliott’s personal life than his fishing.” But Neese finishes strong and is pleased with getting to head home to see his family.
