demi lovato bullying live with kelly michael Demi Lovato talks bullying, 'X Factor' and new album on 'Live with Kelly and Michael'Demi Lovato stopped by “Live with Kelly and Michael” Thursday (April 11), which put the teenage girls in the audience into downright hysterics. No joke.

“Normally when we see reactions like this from young, teenage girls, it’s usually over a guy,” laughs host Kelly Ripa. “You’ve really inspired a generation of young girls with your beautiful and challenging and victorious story, so congratulations to you.”

In the interview, Lovato first touches on “The X Factor,” which she is returning to for its third season this fall.

“I think I’ve lived a lot of life at a young age. I’ve seen the world from a different perspective … as a kid, I just always got along better with adults. Being able to sit on a panel with other adults, I feel comfortable, if that makes any sense,” she says, of judging and mentoring on “The X Factor.”

She goes on to talk about her new album, titled “Demi,” which is out next month. Lovato says it’s got some very personal songs on it.

“With the album, I have a ton of upbeat songs that are just like ‘Heart Attack’ — super catchy … but I also have some pretty emotional songs on there, opening up about things I haven’t ever really talked about,” she says.

“I have a song that’s actually about bullying. It’s not on the album, though. I’ve gotta release it at some point … I take it very seriously … If you’re not using your [celebrity] for good, then you’re wasting your time.”

“Demi” is out for sale and download on May 14.
