Showtime always makes a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con, and this year, they’re going to give “Dexter” fans what they’ve been waiting for all year — a sneak peek at the first two minutes of Season 7. While two minutes may not seem like much, it’s pretty huge, considering the shocking revelation in the final two minutes of Season 6.
So just how will Deb react to finding out that Dexter (her brother-slash-unrequited-love-slash-we-don’t-want-to-talk-about-it) is a serial killer? Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter will be on hand to discuss it — along with Comic-Con fave and special Season 7 guest star Yvonne Strahovski. Executive producers John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton and Scott Buck will also be there to get some questions answered.
The panel, which will take place in Ballroom 20 on Thursday, July 12, will also feature a sneak peek at “Homeland” Season 2. But that’s not all! Before the panel, Showtime will debut their animated “Dexter” spin-off web series, “Early Cuts: All In The Family,” narrated by Hall and written by “Dexter’s” Scott Reynolds. Showtime says the series “continues to tell important stories from Dexter Morgan’s past – this season written thematically to tie-in to the season six cliffhanger, as Dexter reflects back on other instances where his sister, Deb, has sensed his darkness.”
In addition to “Dexter,” “Shameless” will have a presence at Comic-Con as well. William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Justin Chatwin, and Jeremy Allen White will join executive producer John Wells. As a special treat, the panel will be moderated by “Glee” star Mike O’Malley, who also serves as writer and consulting producer on “Shameless.” Check that panel out on Saturday, July 14, in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel.
