Though he’s moved on from the show, Matt Smith is going to be identified for his time on “Doctor Who” for the rest of his career. His stint as the iconic Doctor took the show to new heights in worldwide popularity, and introduced it to new fans of all ages.
His favorites, naturally, were the kids he got to meet along the day. In a preview from an upcoming British TV special, “Doctor Who: Farewell to Matt Smith,” he explains why. “I like children. They’re always excited to meet the character and sometimes with adults it’s not always about meeting the Doctor, it’s about ‘Oh, there’s that guy from ‘Doctor Who’.'”
Smith summarizes, “They’re cool. They’re honest and they’re frank and they’re funny and not afraid to be be themselves, and that’s something we lose as we get older.”

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
