peter capaldi doctor who script read 'Doctor Who': Peter Capaldi reads first script What will his Doctor be like?

Peter Capaldi has completed his first read-through of a “Doctor Who” Series 8 script. That news came Tuesday morning (Dec. 17) from “Doctor Who’s” official Twitter. It was expected that the Series 8 premiere would begin shooting sometime in January, so maybe they just wanted to get a feel of it before the holidays.
Now that Capaldi has read through the script, he’s certainly found the character, which is what Whovians are most curious about. He is the oldest actor to play the Doctor, which is a big change from Matt Smith, the youngest to ever take on the role.
After Capaldi’s brief appearance in the 50th anniversary episode, “The Day of the Doctor,” many are expecting an angry Time Lord. Those eyes of his didn’t seem too happy. He definitely won’t be the happy-go-lucky Doctor that fans have become accustomed to with Smith, but going too dark with the character seems unlikely.
After all, since the 2005 relaunch of the series, the Doctor has been energetic and always game for an adventure, even if he was a bit on the tortured side in Christopher Eccleston’s case. Still, with the events the Doctor has been through recently, including reuniting with his former selves, there must be a certain level of maturity that comes with his age.

What fans do know is that Capaldi won’t drop his Scottish accent for the role, which David Tennant did during his run on the show. It has also been reported that his Doctor costume will be “a bit old-fashioned” but also looks to the future.
It’s not likely that too many questions will be answered about Capaldi’s Doctor during the Christmas special, “The Time of the Doctor,” but it will give fans their first chance to see him in the role, however brief that scene may be. The special airs Dec. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.

What kind of attitude do you want the new Doctor to have?  Should there be an angrier edge to him or do you prefer when the Doctor keeps things light?
