stephen twitch boss drop dead diva lifetime 'Drop Dead Diva' Season 6 premiere: Stephen 'tWitch' Boss says he was 'very nervous' to guest star“Drop Dead Diva” is welcoming a face familiar for “So You Think You Can Dance” fans to its Season 6 premiere. Stephen “tWitch” Boss is guest-starring as Billy Donaldson, a man who hires Jane (Brooke Elliott) to help get his brother out of prison — at any cost to himself.

“I’m hiring her to get my brother out of jail for a crime he did not commit,” Boss tells Zap2it. “I feel that he’s wrongfully accused and I end up selling my business and saving every penny and dime that I have to hire a big-time lawyer.”

“My brother is played by Corbin Bleu, which is awesome,” Boss continues, “because I’ve never worked with Corbin before, but small world, my wife [Allison Holker] actually did ‘High School Musical’ one and two with Corbin.”

Boss is perhaps best known for when he burst onto the TV dancing scene in 2007 on “So You Think You Can Dance,” where he went on to become one of the all-time fan-favorites. His “Drop Dead Diva” role does not feature any dancing, though, which he admits made him a little nervous.

“It’s a straight up acting role, which is the most exciting part because this is actually the first time I’ve done a guest star without a dance role. It was awesome being on set because a lot of people didn’t know that I dance. A lot of people were just calling me Stephen, they didn’t know that I’m ‘tWitch,’ it was refreshing … [but] I was very nervous. [laughs] The cast was very cool, especially Brooke. She was very comforting, very encouraging and the more comfortable I felt, the nerves just started to rush away. But I definitely did not sleep the night before,” says Boss with a laugh.

He adds, “That’s really my focus now, moving into acting. I’m still teaching dance, still teaching hip hop, but performance-wise, I’m moving into acting. It’s something that I’m studying now and pilot season is going on, so I’ve been going on a couple auditions a week and that’s my next step.”

“Drop Dead Diva” premieres Sunday, March 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime.
