lorde 2014 grammys performers gi Eclectic 2014 Grammys performers: Lorde, Daft Punk and a Beatles tributeThe 2014 Grammy Awards are shaping up to be a pretty well-rounded, performance-packed show. The latest additions to the Jan. 26 awards are the most famous teenager in music right now, Lorde, along with Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and Chicago and Metallica and Lang Lang (what a combo!). They join previously announced performers Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, Pink and Nate Ruess of fun., Blake Shelton, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Daft Punk will all play at the ceremony.

Daft Punk, the French duo behind the less controversial song of summer 2013 featuring Pharell Williams, “Get Lucky,” will add some of their coolness cred when they perform with Stevie Wonder and, for the first time on TV, a live band, according to Stereogum. It’s the group’s first TV performance since backing Kanye West at the 2008 Grammys ceremony.

But a show taped the night after the 56th Grammy ceremony might be even cooler: “The Night that Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles” will air Sunday, Feb. 9 on CBS — the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ legendary appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”

It’ll include performances from John Mayer and Keith Urban on “Don’t Let Me Down,” Alicia Keys and John Legend on “Let It Be,” and yet-to-be-named songs from Maroon 5 and British duo Eurythmics, who will reunite for the first time since 2005 to honor the pop icons.
