On Friday’s (Jan. 21) episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” host Ellen DeGeneres took to the airwaves to challenge fellow talk show host Oprah Winfrey in a friendly wager on the NFC Championship game between the Packers (who Ellen is rooting for) and Oprah’s hometown team the Chicago Bears.

Ellen says: “I really love Chicago, but I am going to cheer for the Packers and I’ll tell you why — they send me presents. I got a lovely gift from their linebacker Clay Matthews … and I love Aaron Rodgers, their quarterback. And I love Wisconsin because it’s shaped lke an oven mitt.”

“But you know who’s from Chicago is Oprah. So she’s probably gonna be rooting for the Bears, cheering the Bears on with her Oprah voice. ‘Footballlllll, yessss!’ So Oprah if you’re watching, and I know you are, here’s what I want to offer. I want to make a friendly wager on the Packers/Bears game. If the Bears win, I will replace my Ellen mug with an Oprah mug for one day. And if the Packers win, you will give me your new network. So when the Packers win, OWN will be mine!”
