emma stone glamour Emma Stone on meeting Brangelina, her awesome mom and being 'borderline agoraphobic'Emma Stone covers Glamour’s May issue as “The Cool Girl,” joining fellow cover girls Freida Pinto (“The Goddess”) and Ashley Greene (“The Bombshell”) as the new faces of Hollywood.

The 22-year-old opens up to the mag about her Golden Globes date, childhood panic attacks and why if acting didn’t work out, she’d like to be a journalist.

The “Easy A” actress brought the perfect date to her first Golden Globes — her mom. The duo sat next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the ceremony, where Momma Stone was not shy about chatting it up.

“She was saying things [to them] like, ‘Do you have kids? Let me tell you something,'” Stone recalls. “I was like, ‘Mom, you know they have kids. It’s Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. You are aware they have kids.’ It was so awesome.”

Stone’s mom has helped her through some not so awesome times as well, including anxiety attacks during her younger years.

“I had massive anxiety as a child. I was in therapy. From 8 to 10, I was borderline agoraphobic. I could not leave my mom’s side,” she says. “I don’t really have panic attacks anymore, but I had really bad anxiety.”

Even without a high school diploma (as Stone says, she has a “good-enough degree” aka GED) the actress admits to being a stickler for grammar. She even cites journalism as a potential career path, had acting fallen by the wayside.

“I really like grammar. And spelling. I was a spelling-bee kid,” she says. “I’m hard-core about grammar.” Adding that a misspelled ‘they’re’ or ‘you’re’ would put a kink in any romantic relationship — and we’re with her on that one.
