danielle staub the naked truth Former NJ housewife Danielle Staub's ex files defamation suit against her book publisher

Former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub narrowly escaped a taped deposition for her ex-husband Kevin Maher’s defamation suit when they settled for an undisclosed amount of money in October.
Now, he’s making good on his promise to sue Simon & Schuster, who published her memoir, “The Naked Truth.”
Zap2it has acquired the the complaint filed in Riverside Superior Court on Friday, Dec. 3 from Maher. It outlines several items in the book which he says are untrue, including an arrest for allegedly beating Staub, which led to her needing hospital care, and that Staub had a restraining order against him.
According to Maher, he intends to sue the publishing giant for $10 million in damages.
In January, Maher’s attorney sent a letter to Simon & Schuster informing the company “that any falsehoods written by Ms. Staub and published by Simon and Schuster shall be met with the vigorous pursuit of all legal remedies available.”
Simon & Schuster proceeded to release “The Naked Truth” on May 25.
A Simon & Schuster spokesperson told The Star Ledger that he hadn’t seen the complaint, but “we plan on vigorously defending this lawsuit.”
Does Maher’s settlement with Staub indicate he’s in for a big payday from the publishing company? Time will tell.
