Those of you waiting for the second season of “Touch” on FOX will have to wait a little longer.
The network has moved the drama starring Kiefer Sutherland from its planned Oct. 26 premiere date to a midseason slot. FOX now says “Touch” will return in January.
In its place, new episodes of “Kitchen Nightmares” will begin airing at 8 p.m. ET Fridays starting Oct. 26.
FOX has had some ratings struggles in the early part of the season, and “Touch” wasn’t likely to help too much. The show started off pretty well last season airing behind “American Idol,” but its ratings declined over the course of the season. Its final two episodes of the spring, without an “Idol” lead-in, drew fewer than 5 million viewers.
“Kitchen Nightmares” averaged a little under 4 million viewers on Fridays last season, along with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. The demographic number is pretty competitive for Friday night.
