It was only a matter of time until the “Fox Mole” Joe Muto found another outlet for disgruntled ranting against his former employer, and now he has a book deal.
Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Group, announced Friday (May 4) that Muto’s memoir, “An Atheist in the Foxhole,” will be coming out in early 2013.
A Fox employee for eight years, Muto was fired in April after posting stories to Gawker as the Fox Mole, an unidentified Fox News Channel employee who was fed up and ready to leave the organization — but not before he took the opportunity to “crawl through the air vents, gather intel, and pass it along.” But less than a day later, Fox News sussed out Muto and fired him.
“We are continuing to explore legal recourse against Mr. Muto and possibly others,” a Fox News Channel spokesperson said at the time.
