What happens when 15 people leave their homes and families for an entire year to try and start a brand new society? Well, FOX’s new reality series “Utopia” plans to find out.
In the first trailer for the show, executive producer John De Mol calls “Utopia,” “The most purest form of reality that I’ve ever produced in my career.” The 15 chosen to participate are given an entire year to create the society they want to live in, from constructing buildings to a government.
Things won’t be easy though, as everyone has their own idea about how the society should be run. It will be interesting to see if they can set personal squabbles aside for the good of the group but if children can do it on “Kid Nation,” it would be a shame for the adults to screw it up.
“Utopia” will air Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
