“I’m still trying to make sense of it,” Muniz tells “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, “but happy that I’m alive.”

He tells People that the incident occurred while he was riding his motorcycle over to the home of his fiance, Elycia Turnbow. He lost vision in his right eye, his hands went numb, and he was dizzy and unbalanced. He says it felt like he was being “stabbed in the head.”

“I couldn’t say words,” he says on “GMA,” “and I thought I was saying them, and my fiance was looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language.”

Muniz made the surprise announcement to his Twitter followers on Tuesday, posting, “I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a ?Mini Stroke?, which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!”?

His fiance posted a photo (above) of Muniz in the hospital on Friday with the caption, “Please be ok.”

High blood pressure is a top risk factor for strokes and mini-strokes, but heavy drinking, smoking and using certain illegal drugs can contribute, as can diet choices. As pointed out on “GMA,” just 10 percent of strokes happen to people younger than 45.

“I’ve literally to this day never had a sip of alcohol in my life,” Muniz tells “GMA.” “I’ve never had any drugs. I’ve never even smoked a cigarette.”

He did tell People, though, that he eats “like a 7- to 10-year-old-kid.”
