Murphy and Falchuk previously scored a big win for F/X with “Nip/Tuck.”

“American Horror Story” has signed on an ensemble cast of big-time talent: Dylan McDermott, “Friday Night Lights'” Connie Britton, Jessica Lange, “Six Feet Under’s” Frances Conroy and Taissa Farmiga (yep, Vera’s younger sister).

Our cast is extraordinary and we can’t wait to get started on production,” said Murphy, who wrote the pilot along with Falchuck, in a press release.

“American Horror Story” is set to debut in October.
