Here’s a fun fact about “Game of Thrones” you might not have known: co-showrunner David Benioff is married to Amanda Peet. As Peet’s first play, “The Commons of Pensacola,” is slated to open Off Broadway in November, she was willing to open up a bit about her own obsession with “Game of Thrones” and the one big of Westeros paraphernalia Benioff has put in their house.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Peet reveals that she’s a huge “Game of Thrones” fan. That doesn’t work out well for her when her husband decides to take his work home with him.

“Even last night I was yelling at him because he was freaking looking at dailies in my bed. I’m like, ‘If you don’t put on your goddamn headphones, I’m going to kill someone.’ Because I don’t want to know the scripts anymore,” she says. “I used to be one of the readers, to help Dan [Weiss] and David and be like, ‘This is sexist, take this out,’ or whatever. [Laughs.] But now I don’t do that anymore. I want to be surprised. I just want to be a fan.”

Peet and Benioff spend their summers in Belfast while “Game of Thrones” is shooting, which means the “Saving Silverman” star lives the HBO fantasy series almost as much as her husband does. The show has infiltrated its way into her home, though only one piece of memorabilia is actually in their house.

“His office has a lot of it, but we have a huge, huge poster of the inimitable Peter Dinklage in our den that says ‘Pimp,’ with the ‘imp’ part in parentheses,” Peet says. “So Peter has made it into the house, and the rest is in the office. Which is as it should be.”

“Game of Thrones” returns to HBO in Spring 2014.
